Bruce Flohr

With over 30 years of dedicated experience in the music industry, Bruce Flohr stands as a seasoned executive, renowned for his multifaceted roles and transformative contributions. Currently serving as the Executive Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President at Red Light Management, Bruce has seamlessly integrated his passion for music with strategic leadership. During his college years at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Bruce took the reins of the nationally recognized college radio station KCPR, foreshadowing his future in the music business. His journey kicked off at RCA Records, where he worked closely with many major alternative bands of the 90’s such as The Stone Roses, The Charlatons, Love and Rockets, Cowboys Junkies as well as countless others.   Bruce's music career evolution continued as he transitioned into a dual A&R/Marketing position at RCA, where he left an indelible mark by signing two iconic Rock bands – Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters. This pivotal move showcased his keen eye for talent and strategic approach to artist development.   In 2002, Bruce joined forces with Coran Capshaw and Dave Matthews Band at Red Light Management and ATO Records. The portfolio of artists managed by Red Light include Dave Matthews Band, The Strokes, Chris Stapleton, Mumford and Sons and many others. Bruce is directly involved in acclaimed acts such as Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., Allen Stone, Switchfoot, and two emerging artists, Ellery Harper and Sons of Legion.   As a founding partner in the music media company GreenLight Media & Marketing, Bruce plays a pivotal role in cultivating meaningful connections between brands and music. GreenLight's success, recently awarded as the best small agency of the year, is underscored by collaborations with prominent brands such as Spotify, Intel, Under Armour, Sierra Nevada Beer, The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, and Hyundai. Notably, GreenLight has since successfully sold to Live Nation.   Bruce is also a partner in FIMI Group, a company that assists events and marketing teams in booking celebrity talent for music performances, speaking engagements, and bespoke experiences. Bruce is also an early stage investor in many tech startups that focus on the intersection of entertainment and tech, including STEM and SoundHound AI. Another area of influence that Bruce is actively involved in is destination experiences based around entertainment. Bruce works closely with 100X hospitality, creating unique events based at boutique hotels and resorts.   Bruce's insights have been shared through speaking engagements at Red Bull, Amazon Music, Under Armour, Birch Box, RCA Records, SXSW, MuseExpo, Summit Series Dublin, various universities, and the PTTOW Series. Bruce currently resides in Ventura, CA.
