David Marcus is Ticketmaster’s EVP, Global Music, responsible for the company’s concert ticketing line of business, which designs, delivers, and manages ticketing technologies for touring artists and their concert promoters around the world. Touring artists and concert promoters rely on Ticketmaster to get the right ticket to the right fan in conditions of the most extreme demand, and to ensure that those tickets are sold at the right price. The Global Music team works closely with artists and promoters to configure Ticketmaster’s industry leading tools to achieve these objectives in more than 30 countries around the world. Before rejoining Ticketmaster in 2017, Marcus held executive roles at a variety of music and technology companies, including Warner Music Group, Warner Records, ScoreBig and Ticketmaster (prior to its merger with Live Nation). Marcus began his career as an entertainment and intellectual property attorney at O’Melveny & Myers. He is a graduate of the Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley and has an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois. He has three children, is an avid skier, concert poster collector and youth soccer coach.
