Kirk M. Sommer is a WME partner and Global Co-Head of Music. Considered by his peers to be a selfless and supportive leader and appreciated deeply by artists for his multi-disciplinary approach, Sommer is one of the most revered and respected agents in the industry. He is credited with helping guide many of the most respected artists of our time from their earliest days while also being a mentor to many young agents.  Sommer began as a mailroom trainee at William Morris in 2000 and has spent 25 years building WME’s global music department into one of the most powerful and successful agency groups in the business. Today, Sommer directly oversees a robust and varied roster of multi-platinum selling and award-winning artists.  Sommer has helped artists strategically grow their live shows from small clubs to the largest and most important stages around the world.  Sommer won the prestigious Bobby Brooks Agent of the Year award at the 2025 Pollstar Awards. He was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of at NYU and named MUSEEXPO “International Music Person of the Year”. He has landed on the Billboard Power 100 for a decade and is regularly recognized on Variety’s Top 500 list.  Sommer was also named on Billboard’s “30 Under 30” and “40 Under 40,” lists and won Best Agent at the International Music Awards presented by Shazam.   PAPER Magazine also declared Sommer “the most influential booking agent in the world.” Sommer is currently nominated for the Pollstar Bobby Brooks Agent of the Year award.
