Michael Sciortino joined UBS Arena in July 2020 and has spent the last four years meticulously planning the arena's opening and then managing the day-to-day operations as the General Manager, overseeing the front of house guest experience as well as the back of house facility maintenance. Previously, he worked for the Golden State Warriors organization as the Vice President of Operations, opening Chase Center in September 2019, the state-of-the-art sports and entertainment arena in San Francisco. There, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Chase Center, overseeing ‘back of house’ functions. Before the Warriors, Sciortino spent over eight years heading up facility and event services at Madison Square Garden. Before that, he worked for the New York Islanders at the Nassau Coliseum for five years. His previous employer for three years was with the Triple-A baseball team, the Buffalo Bisons. A native of New York, Sciortino received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo. Michael resides in Rockville Centre, Long Island, with his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters, Catherine and Lillian.
